Geography Junior Cycle Study Notes
So, you’re off to the World Cup in Japan? They’ll be using four major cities, apparently – what are their names again? They have a lot of earthquakes over there – I wonder why that happens. Isn’t Tokyo one of the most built-up cities in the world, with ‘pushers’ on the underground and little capsules to sleep in? I’ve heard the climate is very hot and humid, with heavy downpours, is that right? The Japanese are famous for their industrial production but how did they become an economic superpower after the war? Don’t they have the most advanced mobile phone system in the world?”
Knowing some Geography helps your understanding of lots of things. And you thought it was all about locating places on an atlas!
The Junior Cert course offers a great variety of subject matter, with the opportunity to develop a broad range of knowledge and skills.
